Yes there is. But it is set by the Admin as to what group you are in and how long.

Right now it's set for 3 days (I think) for Users

Do you guys think I should increase it?

If I increase it too much what if some crazy person edits a post from weeks ago and puts something weird in there? And no one notices it ?

And I have the Who's Online set for 10 minutes

So if someone logs out, they'll still appear in the Who's Online for 10 minutes

Real Time on that might overload the Forum

They can't edit any post but their own ...right???

Not that I would want to ...
There would be no way I could edit a post that belonged to you???

Right now a User can only Edit their own posts. 3 day time limit

Moderators can Edit others posts. Hopefully we won't need any Moderation here, for quite some time.

Right now, you are only a Moderator in the Humor Section.

One day should be enough for honest typos etc., otherwise the content could be changed to alter the meaning of the post to make replies to it, not quoted, look foolish.

You have email notifications here, so more than one day is inviting changes you fear, buried, nobody noticing.

I love the 'reason for edit' box.

I'd prefer no time limit on editing my posts with corrective or additional relevant information. Perhaps "edits" of older threads could be made to come up as a new current posting with the original thread (if all this presents no programming problems).
